Notes on distribution:

The Malden Historical Museum houses the 'Dennis Collection of Egyptian antiquities' comprised of material from Deir el-Bahari that had been in the private possession of the Dennis family. James Teakle Dennis has participated in Naville's Egypt Exploration Fund excavations at Deir el-Bahari in 1905-06 and received some share of the finds. Most was presented to John Hopkins University but some remained with his family and was passed to his nieces after his wife's death in 1952. His nieces, Mary Kochtitzky and Elise Byrd, were founders of the Malden Library and placed the collection in the historical museum.
