<p>Thomas Sheppard (1876-1945) was the first curator of the Hull Municiple Museum, opened in 1902, an instiution based around&nbsp;the collection of the Hull Literary and&nbsp;Philosophical Society. He continued to open a variety of different museums in Yorkshire. Although the spelling is varient, the document lists a number of individuals who were active in regional museums, but this proposition needs to be investigated further.&nbsp;</p>
