Tarkhan tomb numbers were written without letters. This mark indicates the vessel came from Tomb 1702. The excavation report has published registers of many of the graves, including this one. The Petrie Museum of Egyptian Archaeology looks after the full set of tomb cards - individual records made for every single tomb.
