Institutional history:

Lambert Vorster is a private collector who looks after material from BSAE excavations in his private museum on his farm at Malmesbury, outside of Cape Town. The small collection came into his possesion following the 1996 auction of the estate of Prynnsberg in the Free State (South Africa). The Estate had belonged to the family of Winifred Brunton (née Newberry), where she moved with her husband, Guy, following his retirement from the Cairo Museum. The collection includes some Predynastic pottery and a fragmentary palette from the 1923 BSAE excavations in the Badari region and some beads, possibly from Gurob or Sedment.
