Artefacts of Excavation

Karl Pearson (1857-1936) was from 1884 onwards a mathematics professor at University College London where he founded the Department of Applied Statistics. He was one of Flinders Petrie's closest colleagues and for a time also his neighbour when they both lived in Hampstead.
