There are about 36 objects in the collection that can be linked with the Egypt Exploration Society.

The Amarna material arrived at History Colorado from City Park Museum either in 1929 or in 1957 through an exchange with the Colorado Museum of Natural History (or the Denver Museum of Natural History and Science). The collection includes pottery moulds, faience beads, wooden models and a piece of limestone wall relief showing flora, ducks and humans (22/257 from the Maru Aten).

A few pottery bowls from Abydos were probably received through Lawrence Phipps, who like many individuals received these bowls through the EES American branch. So many of these bowls were discovered that they were given away to individual subscribers and not just institutions.
