Oving was the home of Oskar Eckenstein, the brother of Lina Eckenstein who excavated with the Petrie's in the early twentieth century and who was one of Hilda Petrie's closest friends. Oskar died in 1921 and his widow (Margery Cattley) remarried into the Cleaver family. In January 2025 Alice Stevenson was in touch with the Cleaver family and established that some pots are still with the family.

A handwritten note on the distribution lists published in the Haraga volume mentions that "some pots are with a Mrs. Cleaver, The Cave, Oving, Bucks".
