Artefacts of Excavation

There does not appear to be a specific museum in Bradford that was the destination for this allocation of finds, although the local library services may have been the intended recipient of Egyptian objects or the Bradford Grammar School which was established in 1548 (noting that Sir Mortimer Wheeler was a graduata and at the time of the excavation, he was Keeper of Archaeology at the National Museum of Wales). Ilkley Manor House Museum opened in 1892 and was noted by Elise Baumgartel in her 1970 Naqada Supplement to house material excavated by Petrie's teams at Naqada.
