Season summary: 
  • Naville led excavations in the Umm el-Qa'ab area, as well as cemetery A and cemetery B.
  • Ayrton and Loat began work in cemetery F in the North cemetery area which mainly contained Old Kingdom burials, although a few from the Twelfth Dynasty, Eighteenth Dynasty and the Late Period were found.
  • Work was also started in cemetery G and cemetery K which contained mostly Middle Kingdom remains.
  • Cemeteries O, Q,  W, X, Y and Z are also areas in the North cemetery that were worked on in this season.
  • Cemetery T and cemetery R were explored in the Middle (South) cemetery.
