Belbeis, Ghita, Saft el-Hinna, Shaghanbeh, Tell el-Rataba and Tell el-Yahudiya are eastern Delta cities that were excavated by Petrie in the same year as sites connected either to Biblical history or the Hyskos people.

The season began on the 18 of February. At least 830 graves were numbered.

The cemetery had been used intermittently from the New Kingdom to the Graeco-Roman period and consists of sand-pit burials, side-scoop sand pits, chambered mud brick tombs, pot burials, and a variety of coffin types including slipper-shaped pottery coffins, clay oblong coffins, and stone and wooden coffins were used. A wide variety of grave goods including beads, scarabs, other types of jewellery, ceramics, and stone vessels were recovered.
