The Ancient Egyptian and Near Eastern Collection originally donated to Dewsbury Museum was later transferred to Bagshaw Museum. They are now both part of Kirklees Community History Service.

The Dewsbury Museum was founded in 1896 and is currently concerned with local history.1931-50 Reserve correspondence Correspondence PMA/WFP1/D/32/10 contacts the Dewsbury Public Library to see if they are interested in objects.
